Howard Community College is pursuing an emerging program to improve safety on Maryland’s roadways. While we believe that behavioral and enforcement strategies are crucial, we also believe that any new advances in driver safety will come from improving the driving skills of each driver. This latter strategy is the focus of our effort.

Teaching Young Drivers -- The Critical 60 Method was created by Howard Community College, sponsored and underwritten by Maryland Highway Safety Office and co-sponsored by Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.
